Hello! I got my first horse when I was 12, a half-Arabian quarter horse cross named Raja. We went on to show hunter pleasure, hunter and jumper, western pleasure, trail, dressage, costume and even country english pleasure. In 1983, he was Region 16 champion in Hunter over Fences, Hunter Pleasure and Western Trail. He was truly a versatile horse! I've been involved with Empire since the early 80's.
I have owned Arabian horses for over 40 years! My husband Tom DeSalvia and I own and operate Baraka Arabians, a small farm in Brewerton specializing in dressage training.
I'm very passionate about dressage. I train with Michelle LaBarre to further my skills as well as working toward USDF L-judge certification. I earned my USDF bronze medal in 2022 and began also competing in para dressage. I'm also an instructor for beginners through 2nd level.
